Professor PAN Yi

Yi Pan received the B.Eng. and M.Eng. degrees in computer engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 1982 and 1984, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in computer science from the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, USA, in 1991. He is currently a Chair Professor and the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Control Engineering, Shenzhen Institute of Advanced Technologies, Chinese Academy of Sciences and Regents' Professor Emeritus, Georgia State University, Atlanta, GA, USA. From 2005 to 2020, he was the Chair of Computer Science Department, Georgia State University. During 2013–2017, he was an Interim Associate Dean and the Chair of Biology Department. He joined Georgia State University in 2000, was promoted to a Full Professor in 2004, named a Distinguished University Professor in 2013 and designated a Regents' Professor (the highest recognition given to a faculty member by the University System of Georgia) in 2015. His profile has been featured as a distinguished alumnus with the Tsinghua Alumni Newsletter and University of Pittsburgh CS Alumni Newsletter.

Assistant Professor PHAM Van Thanh

Thanh V. Pham received the B.E., M.E., and Ph.D. degrees in computer science and engineering from the University of Aizu, Japan, in 2014, 2016, and 2019, respectively. From April 2018 to March 2020, he was a Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) Fellow. He was a Special Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Computer Science and Engineering, University of Aizu, from April 2020 to March 2021, and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, McMaster University, Canada, from April 2021 to February 2022. He has been an Assistant Professor with the Department of Mathematical and Systems Engineering, Shizuoka University, Japan, since March 2022. His research interests include free-space optics and visible light communications. He is a member of IEICE.

Associate Professor IDNIN Pasya Bin Ibrahim

Professor Ibrahim received the B. Eng. and M. Eng. and Dr. of Engineering degrees in Information and Communication Engineering from Tokyo Denki University in 2004, 2006 and 2015, respectively. He received the Monbukagashushou (MEXT) Scholarship for his masters and PhD degrees study. During his study, he was awarded the IEEE MTT Best Paper Award in 2014 IEEE Radio and Wireless Symposium, held in the United States. After obtaining his M. Eng, he worked as an Engineer in Toshiba PC & Network, Tokyo, Japan, from 2006 to 2009, where he was involved in the development of laptop computers. He then joined the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia, and worked there from 2009 until 2023, and currently served as Associate Professor in University of Aizu. His research interests include wireless communication systems, underwater communications and MIMO radar and its applications. In terms of professional activities, he was previously involved in the IEEE Malaysia Section, serving as the executive committee of IEEE AP/MTT/EMC joint chapter from 2017 until 2022. He also served as professional panel under a working group to review standards of electromagnetic exposure limit in Malaysia, under SIRIM, a government organization in Malaysia, from 2018-2021. He also co-founded the national research interest group for radar and navigation, MyRAN, in Malaysia in 2019.

Dr. PHAN Thanh Long

Dr. PHAN Thanh Long received the Ph.D. degree in heat transfer major from Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology, Japan, in 2011. Currently, he has been working as an engineering researcher at Fujikura Ltd. for 12 years.
